Editorial

Since my very first few weeks on campus, SHEI Magazine has served as a creative extracurricular outlet.

Only fifteen years old, SHEI has established a reputation for high-quality print and web production, which I, as a three year member and former Print Features Editor, proudly contributed to.

Although my first year was marked overwhelmingly by concert coverage, artist interviews and album reviews for the website, I always found that I returned to issues pertinent to my surroundings when composing articles for print.

For the Movement issue of Fall 2014, I wrote a piece on the emerging bike share project in Ann Arbor, an effort aimed at increasing student and civilian interest in public transportation. The following semester, I interviewed former president of the University of Michigan, Mary Sue Coleman, to discuss her legacy at the University for SHEI's Legends issue.
